This is a mixed media work on paper that is a tribute to the memory of places that come is hard waves usually brought up by a particular smell, sound or just time of year.
I can be walking down any street in any town or city and it will hit me like a ton of bricks. It is a form of time travel that can bring a tear to the eye or a sudden burst of laughter. It can be for a particular person associated with place or season. This is a feeling that comes almost daily or can piggyback a dream that stays with me throughout an entire morning.
This work is done on a 9 1/4" x 11" piece of Stonehenge watercolor paper. The materials used are acrylics, pencil, inks and china markers.
