This here is my addition to the ancient Greek myth of Kronos.
Kronos, the king of the Titans, was cast into the black abyss(by his own son!) of the underworld, Tartarus.

My contribution to the tale is that as a child, Kronos had a premonition or fever dream of being King and standing in front of the gates of Tartarus. All the emotions of the burden of being King and suffering the fate of eternity in the underworld, Kronos was overcome by fear, confusion and an unknown sadness of the years Kronos yet had to live. This "dream" most likely is what drove Kronos to later become the young King of Titans which led Kronos to the inevitable fate that was visited within the vision.

This is a limited edition of just 22

The piece is an archival pigment print on rice paper mounted on 3/4" wood panel.

Each print has hand colored leaves across the bottom giving each individual piece of the edition a unique element to them.

The prints are sized and coated with my homemade beeswax/dammar/carnauba wax encaustic. Each one come in a custom handmade/stained wood frame. Even more unique elements for each one!
Each piece is 9.2" x 9.25"
The back is signed, numbered, wired and ready to hang.
The back of the frame is also fixed with a small wood block to crete a hovering effect of the piece.

Because every piece is handmade there are variations in each of the frames and prints. This is something I prefer to have for limited editions so that even though they are part of a series, every piece is unique.
