My Totem series features split "Rorschach" style images of a woman spinning in a lake wearing a dress. When I first began experimenting with these images in 2012 I took notice of the faces that would appear throughout the image. They resembled animals and insects which made me think of creatures carved into totems to protect and ward off evil spirits. The nice things about the totems I am making is that they can be hung upside down to bring out new creatures.
This is the second edition of this size. The series is open, but I doubt that more than four of this size will be made.
Now is a chance to grab a small version direct from me at a nice price.
This on is a pigment print on Japanese Kozo paper mounted on MDF board. It is coated with my homemade beeswax/dammar/carnauba wax to protect and eliminate the need for glass.
She is framed in a custom waxed pine, blue trim with metal tacks. The frame is wired and ready to hang.
A lot of work goes into these little guys to make sure you get yourself a special one of a kind with each single print.
She is 9" x 8.5" x 1 1/2"
