Joy can be a very elusive emotion. It could come at times when we least expect and disappear when most needed. But it is always something I strive for either in my work or in love. Joy is the central element that I most desire to have and to share.
The sculpture is a representation of a joy that is elusive. It was made during a time in my life when joy was desperately needed. I could see it but I could not reach it. It was not a malicious act, but a playful one of my joy. For me it became a scavenger hunt for the pieces of joy that I needed to find peace of mind. The house in this piece represents the joy a drift, lost at sea looking for it’s way back to where it is most needed, the heart.
This one of a kid sculpture is made from wood, epoxy, paper, and acrylic.
It is 10 3/4”x 5 3/4” x6”
